RNRNYC RACING Announces R1 as Title Partner, Uniting Innovation, Performance, and Community
NEW YORK, NY — February 10, 2026 — RNRNYC RACING today announced R1 as its title partner for the 2026 season, with the program competing as RNRNYC RACING p/b R1.
The partnership brings together two innovation-driven organizations, RUBBER N’ ROAD, a New York–based performance design studio, and R1, a technology-enabled leader in operational performance, around a shared belief that the future of performance is built at the intersection of data, design, and human experience.
RNRNYC RACING operates as the community hub and performance lab of RUBBER N’ ROAD, bringing competition, athlete development, and open-access community participation into a real-world environment where innovation in training, recovery, technical equipment, and performance culture is developed and applied. R1 joins the program as a strategic partner aligned with this people-driven, systems-focused approach to performance, healthy lifestyle, and excellence.
“This partnership is about developing athletes who aspire to excellence while advancing technical innovation in cycling,” said Gil Lavi, Co-Founder of RUBBER N’ ROAD and RNRNYC RACING. “Both RUBBER N’ ROAD and R1 are performance companies at their core. The technical equipment we develop is part of a system to improve athletic performance. We test them in the real world and iterate constantly. The elite team allows us to bring that mindset into competition, while our development program benefits a community where performance, consistency, and the social benefits of sport meet real athletes.”
As part of the partnership, R1 will support RNRNYC RACING’s elite competitive program while collaborating on community rides, athlete development initiatives, and performance-focused activations that make high-level tools, knowledge, and innovation more accessible to riders across New York City.
RNRNYC RACING p/b R1 will support athletes across the performance spectrum, from elite racing to active lifestyles, through competition, community engagement, and collaborative content that emphasizes performance as a process, not just an outcome.
The team will debut the RNRNYC RACING p/b R1 identity during the 2026 race season while competing nationally across the United States.
