Our program includes international athletes with experience racing at the highest levels of the sport, national athletes with prominent results, and promising young talent from New York City.
This mix gives local elite and developing athletes the opportunity to learn from and race alongside highly experienced professionals, while staying true to our mission: building a strong NYC-based program that develops and supports young American talent.

Co-Founder of RUBBER N’ ROAD and Team Manager of RNRNYC RACING, Max has been racing in New York since 2016 and leading community driven programming in the city since 2017. He brings hands on athlete experience and a focus on building a structured, welcoming environment for riders in NYC and beyond.

Charlie Koontz is a New York-based racer who has competed across major US road events. He brings training knowledge from years as a competitive NCAA Division 1 rower, alongside consistent racing experience and a steady, team-first approach to RNRNYC RACING.

Matthew has built his foundation across cyclocross, gravel, and road, with deep New England roots and a steady record in high level fields. He brings an endurance first engine and sharp technical skill, shaped by years of racing across disciplines.
Henry is a New York-based racer who started racing with RNRNYC RACING as his first team in 2025 and has quickly moved up the USA Cycling ranks. He brings strong athletic commitment shaped by years as a competitive NCAA Ivy League collegiate rower.

Julian Gibson is a promising young talent with an athletic background as a semi-pro soccer player in the UK. He races the New York City calendar with a measured, repeatable approach and a focus on execution. He brings strong pack awareness, consistency across the season, and a calm presence that helps the group race smarter as a unit.

Mathieu Desrosiers is a Canadian gravel racer known for steady pacing on long courses and strong durability over repeated efforts. He competes regularly in North American gravel events. He won the Gran Fondo field at the 2025 Battenkill.
David Sutherland
David is a racer who has been a consistent presence in the Northeast scene for years. He brings a steady, experienced race approach shaped by deep mileage and repeated starts across road and cyclocross, and he continues to show up as a reliable contributor in fast fields.
Lance is a racer who has built a reputation for consistency in fast criteriums and tough road races. He has put together multiple top 5 finishes in 2025, and brings a steady, disciplined approach shaped by years of focused training.
